The Warrage is a Grade 2* farm house and buildings in Raglan which was used by Cromwell to stable his horses prior to the siege of Raglan castle.
Lapider was appointed to upgrade the existing farm house and convert the Cider mill and attached barns into accommodation units. The farm house has been connected to the Cider mill with a modern aluminium powder coated glass structure. The well which is located in the glass link is 55ft deep and is covered with inch thick glass which can be walked on.
Our clients, Andy and Yvonne are delighted with the glazed covering to the well, Andy will walk on the glass although Yvonne choses to walk around it!
Water is pumped from the well to provide “grey water” for the WC’s and the garden.
The former cider mill wheel has been retained in the living room and is good for opening walnuts!
